Srinagar, October 15(KMW): Peopleâ€™s Political Party (PPP) leader and Chief of Azaad Jammu Kashmir and Pakistan Chapter Mian Muzaffar Shah Monday staged a protest in Rawalpindi, Islamabad â€“Pakistan against Indian military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. Besides others, the protest saw the participation of professors, lecturers, college students and PPP activists.
Speaking with media on the occasion, the PPP leader, Mian Muzaffar Ahmad Shah paid glowing tributes to martyr Dr. Manan Wani and asked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop genocide in Kashmir. He expressed his anguish and concern over the brutal killings of Kashmiri Muslims day in and day out at the hands of Indian occupational forces.
The protestorsâ€™ holding banners and play-cards reads â€œHey UNO! Break the Silence, Implement UN Plebiscite Resolutions on Kashmirâ€, â€œHey UNO! Free Kashmir, Give us Right to Lifeâ€, and to Modi,â€œHey Modi- Stop genocide in Kashmirâ€.
PPP leader pledged that the struggle to liberate the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir from the clutches and occupation of India will continue and we (people of Jammu and Kashmir) will fight politically, militarily and diplomatically for our birth right till India concedes our right of self-determination. Besides, Mian Muzaffar several other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion.
