PM calls on Prez; discusses Monsoon Session, Bangladesh visit

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called on President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and briefed her about the Monsoon Session of Parliament and his recent visit to Bangladesh.
According to a statement by a Rashtrapati Bhawan spokesperson, during over half-an-hour-long meeting last evening, the two dignitaries also discussed various other issues of national and international importance.
“Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called on the President Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The meeting lasted for about 40 minutes,” the Rashtrapati Bhawan spokesperson said.
“The Prime Minister briefed the President about the just-concluded Monsoon Session of the Parliament and his recent visit to Bangladesh. They also discussed various other issues of national and international importance,” the spokesperson added.
