PHE Department Kargil Hosts Farewell Dinner for Retiring Chief Engineer Haji Ali

Kargil, May 1: The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department Kargil on Wednesday hosted a farewell dinner in honour of the retiring Chief Engineer, PHE Ladakh, Haji Ali. The event was held at Rego Café, Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), Biamathang, Kargil.

Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon; Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; Joint Director Planning, Joint Director Finance, Executive Engineers of PHE and Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC) Departments, besides other officers and officials of the department were present on the occasion.

In his address, the CEC lauded Haji Ali’s exemplary service, describing him as a person of humble nature and high dedication. He particularly acknowledged Haji Ali’s contribution to the successful implementation of the Chuttuk Project, calling it commendable. He expressed gratitude for Haji Ali’s sincere efforts towards the overall development of Ladakh and extended best wishes for his post-retirement life.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, also appreciated Haji Ali’s dedicated service, especially highlighting his role in the effective execution of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) during his tenure in Leh. He conveyed his best wishes to Haji Ali and his family for the future.

Several other officers also spoke on the occasion, reminiscing about their professional association with Haji Ali and his valuable contributions to the department and the region.

Later, the event concluded with warm wishes and a token of appreciation presented to the retiring Chief Engineer.
