Srinagar: New protest calendar issued by Majlis Muthida Mashwarat (MMM) is being condemned by majority of people. Most of the people termed the calendar of MMM as a copy paste of Indian intelligence agencies stating that MMM is itself working on the behest of Indian agencies and playing with the sentiments of people.

MMM came up with new protest calendar on Sunday in which it called people to observe complete shut down on Wednesday. MMM asked people not to observe strikes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Reacting to the MMM calendar, people on social networking sites denounced it and termed as vague and obsolete just to play with the sentiments of the people. “Who the hell these MMM people are who barely knows about the situation in Kashmir and they must be ignored by people in general,” a young man commented on social networking site face book.
Another youth while criticizing the protest calendar of MMM said that Hurriyat always play with the sentiments of people and their every programme is to crush the on-going movement.
“Don’t believe in MMM. We even don’t know who are the people who issue these calendars? They are all anti-movement,” claimed a youth on CNS facebook page.
Majority of people agreed that MMM played with the sentiments of people by issuing this ‘useless’ calendar. However some people were of the opinion that calendar issued by MMM are pro-people which absolutely represents the sentiments of the people.
A top Hurriyat leader told that those who oppose this calendar are actually government employees who just want to draw their salaries by sitting at home without doing any work.
