PDD worker dies in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 29 (KMW): A casual worker of Power Development Department (PDD) was killed after he came under an electric pole during repair work in north Kashmir district
of Baramulla on Friday, official sources said.

They said a group of PDD workers were busy repairing transmission line at Zaingeer, Sopore, in Baramulla when suddenly a pole collapsed and fell over a casual worker
Feroz Ahmad Sheikh.
However, he was rescued immediately and shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
