Pakistan holds landmark polls

Islamabad: Pak began voting this morning in landmark polls to choose new national & provincial assemblies, setting in motion first democratic transition of power in country”s 66-year history. Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim were among those who exercised their right to franchise shortly after polling began.
