Pak High Commissioner Visits Nizamuddin Dargah for Iftar

Srinagar, Jun 5( KMW): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Mr. Sohail Mahmood, attended Iftar at the Dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) in New Delhi.

The High Commissioner was welcomed at the Dargah by Sajjadah Nasheen Dewan Tahir Nizami, Dewan Moosa Nizami and other members of the Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Spiritual Foundation.

Along with the Foundation’s Chairman Moosa Nizami, High Commissioner Sohail Mahmood served Iftari to a large number of zaireen present at the Dargah.

Afterwards, there was the traditional dastaarbandi administered by Dewan Moosa Nizami.

High Commissiner Shail Mahmood also paid obeisance at the Shrines of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) and Hazrat Amir Khusro.PAK 2

Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) was the third Spiritual Successor (Khalifa) of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA), after Hazrat Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki (RA) and Hazrat Fariduddin Ganjshakar (RA).

For over 800 years, the Dargah Nizamuddin has been a fount of Sufi thought and practice. It has brought together diverse strands of humanity in peace and harmony and continues to provide spiritual nourishment to people of all persuasions.
