Srinagar, Dec 24 (KMW): One way traffic was restored on the 300-km-long highway, connecting the Kashmir Valley with rest of the country, after remaining suspended for two days due to snowfall and slippery road condition.
The highway was put through for one-way traffic from Srinagar to Jammu after clearance of snow on the highway, official sources said adding no vehicle from Jammu would be allowed to avoid any traffic jam and accident.
Majority of vehicles carrying passengers, stranded at different places on the highway were allowed to proceed towards their respective destinations last evening. But, there are still hundreds of Jammu and Srinagar-bound vehicles stranded at different places on the highway.
