Srinagar, Jun 16: One person was killed and 13 others were injured in road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said here.
They said a load carrier hit and critically injured a pedestrian Tahir Ahma Khan at Gutlibagh in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal. He was immediately rushed to local hospital from where he was referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
However, he was declared dead by doctors on arrival.
In another case, seven passengers were wounded when a two vehicles collided at Galander on Srinagar-Jammu national highway. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
A tractor skidded off the road and fell into a nallah at Wangam in south Kashmir resulting in injuries to one Zubair Ahmad Sheikh, who was hospitalised.
One Syed Altaf Hussain was injured critically when he fell from a motorcycle at Tikker in Kupwara. He was rushed to local hospital from where he was referred to SKIMS.
