JAMMU: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Thursday attended the last rites of Chief Editor Daily Excelsior S. D. Rohmetra, who passed away this morning at AIIMS, New Delhi.
The Chief Minister, along with his cabinet colleagues, Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rathar, Minister for Industries and Commerce, S. S. Slathia, Minister of state for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubrak Gul and Political Advisors to Chief Minister, Devindar Rana attended the last rites of Rohmetra who was cremated at Shastrinagar cremation ground.
Governor, N N Vohra was represented by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Mr Pardeep Gupta, who conveyed the condolence message of the Governor to the family members of the deceased.
Relatives, friends, members of media fraternity, government functionaries and a large number of civil society members attended the last rites of the noted journalist of the state.
