NC-PDP workers attack each other with stones in Ganderbal

Srinagar, Apr 23: The workers of National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday resorted to stone pelting on the residence of their two leaders Qazi Mohammad Afzal and Ishfaq Jabbar in Lar Ganderbal. Both the sides have filed formal complaints before the police against each other.

According to reports the workers of National Conference attacked former forest minister Qazi Afzal’s residence breaking window panes. Similarly the PDP workers also attacked Ishfaq Jabbar’s residence damaging some window panes. Some workers from both the sides have sustained minor injuries also.
Later both the parties filed formal complaints before police accusing each other of initiating the attack and provoking each other’s workers in the area. SP Ganderbal Shahid Mehraj when contacted confirmed the reports. “Yes we have received two complaints from NC and the PDP. The residences of Mr Qazi Afzal and Mr Ishfaq Jabbar have been attacked and some people have sustained injuries as well.”
The SP Ganderbal added that police is going through the complaints and will take action only after establishing the facts.
