“We have to stand together to defeat the ugly machinations of these forces” senior National Conference leader Babu Rampal said at a joint meeting of the senior functionaries of the alliance partners at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this morning.
Babu Rampal referred to the nexus between BJP and PDP, saying this unholy alliance has caused a big dent in the past, especially during 2008 agitations, and vowed to foil their attempts with massive support of the people.
Babu Rampal, who is NC coordinator for the Jammu district, assailed BJP’s hollow slogans and said these can’t cut ice with politically sagacious people of the region. “They have failed in the past and are destined to meet the same fate this time as well”, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, senior Congress leader and former minister Mr Yogesh Sawhney cautioned against the attempts being made for vitiating the atmosphere in order to polarize the elections. He hoped that people will understand the nefarious designs of communal elements and foil these with their full might.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders of Congress and National Conference. Prominent among those included Mr Pardeep Bali, Mr.Ayub Malik , Mr.Sanjay Gupta , Mr Anil Dhar, , Mr Iqbal Wani, Mrs Rashida Begum, Mr Ashok Dogra, Mr Aftab Manhas, Mr Rajesh Kohli ,Mr Ravi Dogra , Reeta Gupta , Dishada.
