Mother HelpAge Launches Narcotics Control Unit to Fight Drug Menace

Jammu, March 13(KMW): Globally renowned Charity Organization Mother HelpAge has launched its Narcotics Control Unit to fight Drug Menace in association with J and K Police in the state especially in worst hit areas of south Kashmir.

Pertinently, it was launched at Dak Bungalow Anantnag, Kashmir on Saturday, 11 March 2017 and brain storming deliberations were held .Important personalities were present and lauded Mother HelpAge for its commendable work.

Dr.Sohail Nasti, Head Mother Help Age while speaking in the Launch of Mother Help Age Narcotics Unit at Dak Bangalow Anantnag, Kashmir stated – “ The biggest Job is to Stabilize the society .We have to fight Drug Menace together and be far sighted in our approach .
Having experience of worked in more than 150 countries and especially worst Drug Zone I pledge to use this vital experience to root out drug menace from Kashmir and we have to find ways to fight Drug Menace .We would develop effective narcotic control unit to fight this threat and awaken the Conscience of society in this regard and take help of religious preachers also .Massive unemployment is reason behind growing drug addiction. We will provide Job Opportunities to youth and give them hope via our expertise and in coordination with State Govt.”

Senior Police officers also spoke on the occasion.”Mother Help Age workers, Volunteers even in hard times tried to heal wounded and provide food to hungry .We are in a big mess with reference to drug addiction .The conflict is real reason behind rising drug addiction and our basic sectors like tourism are struggling ,” stated Mubashir Ahmad, SP Operations Anantnag

SSP Anantnag Zubair Ahmad Khan stated – “To channelize youth energy for good work is must ; society heads have role to channelize the energies youth in right direction .I applaud Mother Help age for taking noble steps towards fighting Drug Menace and aiding in women Empowerment .”

Mother HelpAge also reaffirmed its pledge to root out the peril of drug addiction from Kashmir and help in acting as positive catalyst in this regard and also aid in global exposure of local police officials to fight this menace.

Masses and civil society have appreciated the efforts of Mother HelpAge in fighting evils.
