Srinagar: Protests broke out in Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district once again over the police’s failure to solve an alleged murder case of a local youth.Correspondent from North Kashmir said that hundreds of people, including women and children, blocked the Baramulla-Handwara road for hours this morning, demanding arrest of “killers” of Mohammad Yaseen Mir son of Ghulam Nabi Mir.Yaseen had gone missing on March 2 when he left his home in Ladoora Rafiabad following a telephone call from an unidentified person. On March 25, his body was recovered from an under construction sewage tank of a local health centre, evoking massive protests in the area.Locals say despite repeated assurances by the higher-ups to solve the case and bring the culprits to book, nothing has been done so far. ADC Baramulla when contacted said that investigations into the case were still going on and culprits would be unmasked if it was case of murder.
