Srinagar: The Tulip Garden on the foothills of Zabarwan range here was thrown open for people on FridayTalking to reporters, Minister of State Roads and Buildings, Javed Dar, who was present on the occasion as chief minister Omar Abdullah couldn’t make it to the occasion due to other commitments, said the state government was expecting locals and tourists from India to visit the garden in large numbers this year.“We are expecting more and more people this year to visit the garden as the weather improves. The government is also mulling to utilize international flights to export tulips to foreign countries,†he said.The Minister further said that the state government was promoting tourism through wide-spread publicity and expected a large number of domestic tourists to visit the state this year.
