Missing youth killed in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Ganderbal police has solved a murder case of a youth, who had gone missing since 10th November.
Giving details of the case SP Ganderbal stated that Police Post Shadipora received an application from one Abdul Ahad Guroo R/O Atkhuru, Ganderbal stating therein that his 17 year old son namely Aijaz Ahmad Guroo is missing from 10th November 2010.
Upon this report efforts were made by Police to trace out the missing boy and based on preliminary investigation case FIR No 170/2010 U/S 364 RPC was registered in Police Station Ganderbal. Many suspects were called to Police who were questioned to strike the clue.
In the meanwhile the cell phone of the missing boy was recovered from one lady Haseena W/O Ghulam Nabi Khanday R/O Zangam Pattan. This led to the arrest of one suspect Umar Rashid Malla aged 17,S/O Abdul Rashid Malla R/O Atkhuru who disclosed to Police that he in collaboration with Mehraj ud din Khuru, aged 19 S/O Fateh Mohd Khuru R/O Atkhuru have killed Aijaz Ahmad and threw the dead body in Nallah Sind.
Upon the disclosure of the accused and at their instance dead body of the victim was recovered from nearby Nallah Sindh. The dead body bore visible marks of violence. The case of kidnapping was accordingly converted into the case of murder.
After the post mortem and legal formalities the dead body was handed over to next of the kin for last rites. Further investigation into the matter is going on and the two accused are on Police.
Its is pertinent to mention that due to the turbulent circumstances prevalent in the valley youth are prone to criminal and violent bent of mind which leads to incidents like these. The youth who are supposed to be national assets are becoming a liability.
