Mirwaiz to attend OIC’s 3-day meet from June 28

Srinagar: Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been invited to attend thirty eighth session of the counsel of foreign ministers of Organisation of Islamic Conference scheduled to be held from 28 to June 30 at Astana, republic of Kazakhstan.The 3-day meetings of the Foreign Ministers of 57-member States OIC are tipped to discuss and deliberate on a wide range of political, economic, cultural and other issues of interest to Member States, including Palestine, Kashmir and the Middle East.  “Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has accepted the invitation and hopefully he will get the information about the efforts by the OIC with regard to the resolution of Kashmir,” a spokesman of the amalgam told.Besides, Mirwaiz will acquaint the forum about the present situation and deteriorating human rights condition in Kashmir, the spokesman added.
