Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday arrived in Geneva to attend the 16th session of United Nations Human Rights Council.According to a spokesman, immediately after his arrival in Geneva, Mirwaiz called on ambassadors of OIC’s Kashmir Contract Group , including Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and urged these countries to come up with a policy “that would help bring a permanent resolution to the Kashmir issue through a meaningful dialogue between India, Pakistan and Kashmiris.”Mirwaiz said Kashmiris had high expectations of a “positive role†from OIC  and urged the body of Muslim countries to send a mission for a hands on survey of the “gross human rights violations being committed against Kashmiris.â€During his stay in Geneva, Mirwaiz is scheduled to address a seminar “Defending the Will of People†organized by International Education Development.  Beside, Mirwaiz is also expected to meet diplomats of several foreign countries and officials of the United Nations and Amnesty International.
