Srinagar, January 3 (KMW): Government on Wednesday arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairperson Yasin Malik and shifted him to central jail Srinagar.
Reports said police arrived at the Abi Guzar office of Malik and took him into custody.
Earlier in the day, Government detained Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence.
Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz said: “After three days, again put under #HouseArrest ! Panic and fright of the paranoid #AutocraticState getting more and more chronic by the day!”
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz also expressed satisfaction over the liver transplant of Masroor Abbas Ansari, son of senior Hurriyat leader Moulana Abbas Ansari and prayed for his speedy recovery.
“Alhumdullilah successful liver transplant of Masroor Abbas Ansari son of Senior Hurriyat leader Moulana Abbas Ansari, Duas and best Wishes for his speedy recovery!,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
