Srinagar: The Winter Secretariat has been established in Civil Secretariat which shall start functioning from October 31, 2011 under the supervision of Additional Secretary to Government.
Accordingly, the Government has issued a circular whereunder honorable Ministers will attend the Winter Secretariat on rotation basis to hear public grievances.
As per the communiqué, the Minister for Rural Development and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar will be available in the Winter Secretariat from November 7 to November 11, 2011, Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology, Mian Altaf Ahmad from November 14 to November 18 2011, Minister for Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Taj Mohi-u-Din from November 21 to November 25, 2011, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora from November 28 to December 2, 2011.
Likewise, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. S.S. Salathia will be available from December 5 to December 9, 2011, Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma from December 12 to December 16, 2011, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Public Distribution and Transport, Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon from December 19 to December 23, 2011, Minister for Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib from December 26 to December 30, 2011, Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir from January 2 to January 6, 2012, Minster for Social Welfare, ARI and Training, Ms. Sakina Itoo from January 9 to January 13, 2012, Minister for Revenue and Relief, Mr. Raman Bhalla from January 16 to January 20, 2012, Minster for Higher Education, Labour and Employment, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik from January 23 to January 27, 2012 and Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Science and Technology, Agha Syed Rahulla Mehdi from January 30 to February 3, 2012.
Similarly, Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan shall be available from February 6 to February 10, 2012, Minster of State for Cooperatives, Mr. Manohar Lal Sharma from February 13 to February 17, 2012 and Minister of State for Forests, Power, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan from February 20 to February 24, 2012.
People can register their grievances before the ministers in the winter secretariat as per the above mentioned schedule.
