Medical Camp for Women at Khunmoh by Indian Army

Srinagar, 30 Oct: The Indian Army, under the aegis of 31 Sub Area, with support of Metro Zone Health Service (India) Pvt Ltd organised a medical camp catering to the unique needs of pregnant women was organised on 30 Oct 23 at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Khunmoh exemplifying the Army’s dedication to serving local communities.

The event provided medical check-ups and distributed essential medicines to pregnant women, marked a significant milestone in community outreach efforts by the Indian Army. This initiative aimed to address the pre and post-pregnancy requirements of women in the region and was met with enthusiastic participation from the local community.

One of the expectant mothers shared her thoughts on the camp, saying, “I am extremely grateful to the Indian Army for organizing this medical camp. It has provided us with access to vital healthcare services that we might not have had otherwise. I feel much more confident about my health.

GOC, 31 Sub Area emphasized the importance of such initiatives in community-building and fostering goodwill. He stated, “The Indian Army is not just about defense, it’s about being a part of the community and contributing to its well-being. We are honored to have the opportunity to serve and support the people of Srinagar and its surrounding villages.”
