Srinagar: Alleging that activities of mainstream parties of State don’t have any value in the eye of Government of India (GoI), Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq has said that mainstream politicians are working on incentives for GoI. He has said that the house of assembly which were talking of bombardment on Pakistan Administered Kashmir, is talking now about right to self determination and resolutions adopted by UNO.

According to statement issued here, Mirwaiz has said that he would visit family of Mohammad Afzal Guru on April 1 to express solidarity with them.
Addressing Jammu and Kashmir Majilis Amal meet on Sunday, Mirwaiz said, “This is not new party and has presented various sacrifices for movement and is continuing its struggle. Mainstream politicians are working on incentive basis for GoI and their activities inside and outside of assembly have no weigh way in the eye of GoI”.
He said that separatists were invited in past to contest so called elections and speak in house but now the world knows what importance does assembly have?
Expressing concern over draconian laws, he said that these laws are not only meant for militants but are being used against common people in Valley to suppress their peaceful struggle.
Mirwaiz stressed workers to work on ground and keep close contacts with people and to help and assist them in time of need. He said that arrests, curfew and other tactics are much older and it would not suppress the voices of people.
He said that struggle would continue till it reaches to its logical conclusion.
