Live grenade recovered in Samba forests

Jammu: Panic gripped the bordering village after a live grenade was recovered in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

“The grenade was noticed by a group of children last evening while they playing in the nearby forest area of village Chilladanga and they informed the villagers,” police added here On receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and seized the grenade.

Though it was rusty, live grenade was marked with HE-36.

They said a bomb disposal squad was immediately informed to defuse the device.(KMW News)
