Srinagar, June 1: A day after Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Geelani asked United Jihad Council to reveal truth about ‘Lashkar-e-Islam’- the organization claiming the responsibilities of attacks on mobile towers and outlets, spokesperson UJC, Syed Sadakat Hussain Monday said that ‘Lashkar-e-Islam’ doesn’t exist anywhere while the Indian agencies have been using this outfit to mislead the people of Kashmir as well as defame the ongoing freedom struggle.
In a statement to CNS, the spokesperson said that, “UJC has already made it clear that Lashkar-e-Islam has nothing to do with the freedom struggle going on in Kashmir. This group got itself exposed when it threatened the Hurriyat leaders asking them not to participate in the funeral processions of martyrs. The activities of this group is the result of popularity of Mujhadeen in Kashmir. It is an Indian group created by India out of frustration,†the spokesperson said.
“UJC wants to make it clear that it will give a befitting reply to all those elements who are hell-bent to defame the Kashmir freedom struggle. Leaders and people of Kashmir are well aware about the shoddy character of Indian agencies and they will also help UJC to deal with this Indian sponsored group,†the spokesperson said.
