Srinagar, April 13: Authorities continue to impose curfew in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas for the fifth consecutive day, today.
The curfew was imposed in Kishtwar district following the killing of a RSS leader, Chandrakant Sharma, and his personal security officer, by unknown gunmen at Kishtwar district hospital on Tuesday. The authorities also kept the internet services suspended in the district.
“Curfew is being strictly implemented in the town and adjoining areas to maintain law and order,” Kishtwar District Development Commissioner, A S Rana, told media.
“The situation will be reviewed later in the day to take a decision about the relaxation for the day,” Rana said.
The curfew was relaxed in a phased manner, for the first time since its imposition, on Friday evening.
