Srinagar: Castigating the coalition Government for their inhuman conduct in tackling the peaceful protestors agitating against frequent power breakdowns resulting in the death of a student Altaf Ahmad Sood, Begum Khalida Shah President Awami National Conference has expressed her anguish and termed it an undemocratic, unconstitutional and an barbaric act. “The coalition Government has started the new year by shedding blood of innocents” she said. Which she condemned in strongest words. She further said, If these measures are not corrected, we might be heading to a dictatorial regime.
She said that MLA Uri and Congress Minister should listen to his conscience and resign and express solidarity with the with the people of his constituency and seek an apology. To protest for genuine grievance is a constitutional right and the present Government is suppressing the same with highhandedness and brute force. She has expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and demanded stringent punishment to the guilty. (KMW News)
