ISLAMABAD: Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan regretted that energy crisis has rendered 40,000 daily wagers jobless in Punjab alone, Geo News reported
Addressing a press conference along with other TI office bearers here, Imran Khan said the burden of 400,000 illegal power connections was being borne by common people.
“It was again the people who had to pay the cost of the ‘robbery’ of Rental Power,” he lamented.
He said Pakistan Steel Mills suffered a loss of Rs30 billion during the current government’s rule.
Imran Khan held the ‘people who came to power through NRO’ responsible for the prevailing circumstances in the country.
“Pakistan has never witnessed in its entire history a government that is as corrupt as it is today,” he maintained, adding ineligibility and ‘theft’ are the hallmarks of this government.
