Freedom party held meetings with the party members at Islamabad and district Kulgam under the leadership of Shabir Ahmad shah where discussions were held on Amarnath rumours and the meeting between pro-freedom people and Hurriyat leaders.
Shabir shah said in a statement that Kashmir is an international issue whose disputed nature has been accepted by the UN. “People of Kashmir have been fighting against the occupation of India and have offered lakhs of sacrifices that internationalized the issue. India has been using its political and armed designs to justify their occupation here. On the one hand they are using force to suppress the pro-freedom people and on the other hand they are using economic packages to make people slaves,’ he said.
He said that the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is also on the same lines to offer economic packages to suppress the pro-freedom people. “India is repeating their tactics, but nothing has worked so far either by force or by economic packages. India should shun their rigid their approach and come out with workable steps based on facts. Wherever there were occupational forces in any part of the world they had to leave. And NATO and American forces will also have to leave Afghansitan in 2014. Kashmir issue will not be solved by use of power. It has to solved as per the united nations resolutions or through tripartite dialogue between Profreedom leadership, Pakistan and India,” he said.
Shah also expressed his concern over the statement of Sushil Kumar shinde and said that it has caused concern among the people of Kashmir. He said that it were the Kashmiri people who discovered Amarnath cave and the Kashmiri people have been always carrying their baggage. Shah said that when few years before when there was climatic problems during yatra it were the kashmiri people who made arrangements for them to stay in their own houses.
‘The statement of shinde sahib is a conspiracy to malign the Kashmiri movement. Shah also appealed t the freedom party workers and general public to take care of the Amarnath Yatri’s from Banihal to Cave. Government should learn from Uttarkhand and restrict the number of yatri’s visiting the cave. Ths would save the live of yatris and prevent the Pahalgam from ecological disaster so that the lidder water is not polluted that gives rise to deadly diseases like hepatitis A/C,” he said.
He also appealed to the party workers to reach to people and share their sorrows so that the party becomes a people’s power.
Shah Shah also expressed his concern over the harassment being meted out to Mirwaiz South Kashmir Qazi Yasir by the government and said that Qazi yasir is a religious leader and government is interfering in his religion. Shah said that the responsibility lies on the government for his ailing health due to the non availability of proper medical care.
