SRINAGAR: Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Mubarak Gul has strongly supported the views of the Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah regarding the peace process and removal of AFSPA in a phased manner.
The Advisor was addressing a large gathering of people at SafaKadal , Nawakadal and other areas of Iddgah constituency.
Mr. Gul said that Omar Abdullah has been supporting the political solution of Jammu and Kashmir between Indian and Pakistan besides the revocation of AFSPA from day one. He said that we support such a move of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah strongly and added that it is the right time for India to take initiative and settle the matter once for all
Mr. Gul said that the government has chalked out a comprehensive programme for quick development of the roads, health and other matters related to civic amenities.
The Advisor also announced the release of Rs 1.50 cr already approved by District Board for the development of Iddgah and Rs. 1.00 cr for development of Iddgah Park. He also announced the release of an amount of Rs. 8.24 lakh for installation/ renewal of new electric transformers and 19 lakh for the repair and renovation of the lanes, drains and footpaths of the area.
