Srinagar: Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were killed and one critically injured in a fratricidal shootout in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday police said.
Police sources said an argument broke out between some jawans of the 18th Battalion of CRPF inside their Kulgam camp, which resulted they opened fire at each other
“Total number of four jawans were injured in the shootout. From which three succumbed to injuries, the fourth has been shifted to Srinagar for treatment.” He said adding all the jawans involved were CRPF drivers.
Meanwhile, senior police and other officers have rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. (KMW News)
