Ajmal Kasab has decided to challenge the verdict of his death sentence in the Supreme Court. This was disclosed by Kasab’s lawyer Farhana Shah who went to meet Kasab in Arthur Road jail to explain the verdict. The Bombay High court verdict confirmed Kasab’s death sentence by a special court in May last year, for his involvement in 26/11 Mumbai attack. Shah said that they would be appealing to the Supreme Court as soon as they get the official copy of the verdict. The appeal can be filed within 90 days of receiving the verdict.
