The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, headed by Yasin Malik, on Wednesday rejected seven of the eight proposals announced by the Centre to bring peace in Kashmir and said it would consider only the dialogue offer.
“We have studied and discussed the proposed measures. Seven of these do not concern separatist leaders. So, there is no need for us to comment on these points,†said the JKLF after a meeting of the outfit in Srinagar.
Regarding the “process of sustained dialogueâ€, the JKLF, in a statement, said it was ready to “engage in and sustain a meaningful and irreversible dialogue processâ€.
However, “the dialogue has to be serious, sincere and purposeful and (should) aim at avoiding failures of the past in order to arrive at a lasting solution to the Kashmir issue,†it said.
