Javed Parsa, Zakir Ayoub Bhat, Bilal Bashir Bhat, Peer Viqar, Nadeem Qadri, Nasir Ali Khan likely to bag awards.
Srinagar, 17 JuneKMW: The recently held online voting for the first ever prestigious Jammu and Kashmir Youth Icon Awards held by Jammu and Kashmir Innovators Forum (JKIF) for ten categories including Journalism, Social Work, Law, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Education, Art and Culture, Medicine , Innovations and Sports has generated lot of excitement among masses especially netizens. Now all eyes are on the result day.
Out of 10 categories, 6 categories viz Social Work, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Art and Culture , Journalism and Education had 10 nominees competing while other 4 had less number of nominees competing. A total of 75 nominees were competing in these 10 categories .
Social Work category was the highest voted category which witnessed 9402 valid votes followed by engineering which saw 1366 votes and on third number Entrepreneurship Category witnessed cast of 1244 votes. Journalism category saw 1187 votes being cast.
Law Category saw the lowest number of votes cast at 67, which were followed by Medicine category by 124 more probably on account of less number of nominees.
The total number of votes cast remained 15821 which surprised many but remained very less as expectations had hoped very high turnout.
In Entrepreneurship category, Mufti Sadia Manzoor, Sajad Alam,Mir Muneeb , Muheet Mehraj, Javid Parsa are locked in tough fight and Munawar Khan, Sahil Verma, Mir Shariq Mushtaq have outside chances.
Likely Winner : Javid Parsa is likely Winner in Entrepreneur Category with him likely to have bagged impressive votes.
In the famed category of Journalism According to Kashmir Media Watch exit poll on this prestigious event Bilal Bashir Bhat, Mehboob Makhdoomi, Irfan Qureshi and Mir Suhail are locked in tough fight with Mehraj ur Rehman and Sumaiya Yousuf having the outside chances to ring in surprise. Besides disappearance of Only Kashmir from Facebook containing quarter million followers, Bilal Bashir Bhat’s effective ground zero campaigning according to netizens can give him a upper edge.
Likely Winner: According to our exit poll , Bilal Bashir Bhat can emerge as likely Winner with him looking to have grabbed more than 50 percent vote.
In the Engineering category Taha Mughal, Asif Shafat Wani, Peer Viqar Al Aslam, Ovais yaqoob Khan are locked in tough fight while as Jaffar Saleem and Qazi Rada Abdul Quadir have outside chances.
Likely Winner: Peer Viqar ul Aslam could emerge as likely winner in Engineering category .
In Education Category, Zakir Ayub Bhat, Sheikh Mubashir, Abdul Rouf Khan are locked in tough fight while as Aqib Renzu , Nidhi Anand may also put up a fight.

In Art and Culture, Shahnaz Bashir ,Syed Mujtaba Rizvi , Sardar Nasir Ali Khan are locked in tough fight while as Mariya Shahmiri may also offer a fight.
Likely Winner: In Arts and culture likely winners looks Sardar Nasir Ali Khan.
In the Social Work Category, Rameez Makhdoomi , Mushtaq ul Haq Sikandar, Qurat ul Ain Masoodi , Muddassir Hassan are locked in tough quadrilateral fight with Irfan Ahmed Attu, Shabir Ali having an outside chance .
Social Work Category : Large vote percentage in this category can make any of the four competitors locked in battle as likely winners.
In the rest categories with less number of nominees and few votes cast the final battle can be won by anyone. Although Nadeem Qadri in Law look to be favorite.
Pertinently, social Circles are lauding the efforts of brain behind the JKIF Awards for envisaging such historic and noble venture aimed at leasing a life to culture of appreciation in our society.
The announcements of the results are expected in the month of July during a function at SKICC, Srinagar in which J&K Chief Minister and other Cabinet Ministers are expected.
