Authorities placed all senior separatist leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah, Er. Hilal Ahmad War,Shahid-ul-Islam, Nayeem Khan and others under preventive detention.
Srinagar, Jun 19 (KMW): Curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in downtown Srinagar since early this morning following “Sopore Challo†call by separatist organisations to express solidarity with families of four people, killed by unidentified gunmen last week in the apple township.
However, official sources said the restrictions have been imposed in the areas falling under seven police stations to prevent any law and order problem as there was apprehension of violence in the Srinagar.
