Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police would send back the woman tourist from Iraq to embassy in Delhi, who got separated
from her group here.
‘’As per the visa and the documents she carried, the woman identified as Sadiya Amar Ali, 50, daughter of Shukriyah Mahmood, resident of Baghdad, who had come to Jammu and Kashmir, went ‘missing’ on April 14 and was found roaming under mysterious circumstances at Bishnah on city outskirts,’’ police sources here told.
They said the lady tourist was shifted to the Women Cell here last evening by the Bishnah police and she is likely to be send back to the embassy in the evening after clearance from the higher authorities.
‘’We have informed the embassy about the woman and after getting the clearance, she will be sent to Delhi,’’ a senior police official told.
He said her visa is valid for three months from March 7 to June 6 adding, ‘’as she is unable to speak English, it is difficult to understand her language but we are trying to make her contact in the embassy.’’
