Jammu, Nov 14 (KMW): Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Tourism and Minister for PHE, Director General of Police Ashok Prasad and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu today called on Governor N N Vohra at Raj Bhawan here.
Minister for Tourism Ghulam Ahmad Mir during his meeting with the Governor briefed him about the various initiatives taken by the Tourism Department in the past year for the promotion of tourism in each of the three regions of the state.
The Governor reiterated his concern about the vital importance of protecting and preserving the natural beauty of the scenic areas through effective enforcement of traffic regulations, maintenance of roads and bridges, collection and disposal of garbage, identification of land fill sites, storm water drainage system etc.
