JK Bank opens branch in Udhampur, holds literacy camps in Budgam

Srinagar, Apr 3 (KMW): J&K Bank opened one more Business Unit (BU) at Mantalai in Udhampur district. Cluster Head Udhampur S Iqbal Singh inaugurated the B.U at a simple but impressive function.
Speaking on the occasion, Cluster Head urged all those present at the function to various various facilities offered by the bank.
Located near proposed International Yoga Centre, it is 27th business unit of the bank in district Udhampur.
Among others present on the occasion were Heads business units Mantalai, Sudhmahadev and Chenani besides prominent people from adjoining areas and staff members.
Meanwhile, the bank’s Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling centre Budgam organized many awareness camps across the district during the last month, wherein hundreds of people from different walks of life were counseled regarding matters of finance and banking.
The bank’s FLCC Budgam Budgam organized a Camp in collaboration with Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Budgam at Hakermulla, wherein the women trained at the institute in Sozni and Ari works received the Artisan Credit Cards (ACC) prepared by the Handicrafts Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Facilitator FLCC Budgam A H Rafiqi discussed the ACC Loan Scheme and the formalities to be completed including repayment schedules, cost of credit and repayment capacity.
The participants were also educated about the interest subsidy available from the Handicraft Department and were advised to boost their activity by availing the credit facility from the bank and ensure the timely repayments.
Also the importance of opening Basic Saving Bank Account under PMJDY Scheme suitable for BPL Category of the society and other benefits of the scheme were discussed with the participants.
Similar camps were conducted at Hushroo in Chadura, at Pallar in Budgam, at District Employment Fair in Chadura, at District Employment Fair in Budgam besides the two sessions of credit counseling programmes to the Entrepreneurs under PMEGP Scheme at RSETI Budgam.
