J&K Bank opens B.U in Jammu, convenes Rajouri DLRC

Srinagar, Mar 4(KMW): J&K Bank today opened one more business unit at Marble Market Jammu amid large gathering of valuable customers, senior citizens and local businessmen. Besides, a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting was convened in Rajouri to review the performance of banks in the district.

The Bank’s Vice President and Zonal Head Jammu (Central) Arvind Gupta dedicated the business unit to public in presence of Head business unit Sudesh Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head said that the beank was committed to provide hassle free, easy and world class banking services to the people of state irrespective of their location and status.
According to a statement issued to KMW, Meanwhile, the Bank convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of Rajouri district, which was held at PWD Dak Bungalow Rajouri under the chairmanship of DDC Rajouri Ms. Deepti Uppal. The meeting was attended by ADDC Rajouri Veer Jee Hungloo AGM RBI Rakesh Sharma, DDM NABARD Des Raj, and District Officers of line department and Bankers.
The bank’s Lead District Manager Anoop Bhat briefed the house about the achievement of banks under Annual Action Plan 2014-2015.
He said, “The achievement as on Decemebr 31, 2014 stood at Rs 162.16 crore out of which Rs 29.88 crore were disbursed under Agriculture sector, Rs 25.61 crore under micro and small enterprise, Rs 9.36 crore under Housing Sector, Rs 57 Lacs under Education and Rs. 96.74 crore under other sectors.”
Deposits of the district have risen to Rs 2260.51 crore from Rs 2000.43 crore registering the YOY growth of 13% and advances have registered YOY growth of 20 % growing to Rs 567.21 crore from Rs 474.07 crore, he added.
While reviewing the performance DDC Rajouri Ms. Deepti Uppal directed the Banks/Agencies to improve CD Ratio by lending liberally.
She advised agencies and banks to sanction cases of unemployed youth in a time bound manner. She also appreciated the efforts of the banks for implementation of PMJDY.
Meanwhile, LDM informed the house that the efforts of Social Welfare Department and Banks have yielded results and district Rajouri is one amongst six districts to disburse social welfare pension through Electronic Benefit Transfer Scheme.
DDC Rajouri showed her satisfaction on successful implementation of EBT Scheme.
