Srinagar, Mar 17: Consolidating further our state-wide expansion in terms of our reach and services, new offices like this one will play a key role in streamlining not only our business operations but will take us closer to the geographies of these zones and allow us to serve the people better.
J&K Bank Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmad said this today while inaugurating the bank’s Zonal Office Complex for Jammu North (II) AT Cama Housing Colony Udhampur in presence of MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta, Additional DDC Udhampur Arvind Sharma, CPO Rakesh Jamwal and Bank’s Executive Presidents S S Sehgal, Vagesh Chander besides Senior President M S Wani, Zonal Head Udhampur Ashutosh Sareen, Vice President Shujaat Hussain Andrabi, valuable customers, senior citizens and other senior officers of the bank. Representatives from various trade bodies and associations were also present on the occasion.
The Chairman also inaugurated the B.U Cama Housing Colony on the occasion.
“I hope commissioning of this office besides a business unit would lead to a marked improvement in our services and access in the zone”, Chairman said.
Notably, the zone comprises of Reasi and Udhampur districts of Jammu.
Besides, Chairman Mushtaq Ahmad provided a brief overview of the bank’s recent progress in business and infra-structure.
“Our expansion within the state aims at taking all the unbanked areas into the financial fold besides leveraging the underbanked areas through better and more accessible banking services”, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Udhampur thanked the bank management for creation of the zonal office, which he said would bring a sense of ease for people from the zone thus making their interaction with the bank more convenient and fruitful.
The representatives of trade bodies had a healthy interaction with the management after the inaugural ceremony, wherein they extended gratitude for creation of the zone and the subsequent inauguration of the business unit.
The customers present on the occasion hailed the bank’s progress and appreciated the bank management for taking such efforts for the financial well-being of the people.
The zone will get 3 new business units and 2 ATMs by the end of March 2016.This will take the business units number to 49 and 39 ATMs
