Javid lays foundation stone of Baba Adam Sahib (RA) shrine at Hawal

SRINAGAR: The Minister of State for Roads and Buildings, Javid Ahmad Dar today laid foundation stone of Baba Adam Sahib (RA) shrine at Kanidiver, Hawal Today. The shrine is being constructed by Roads and Buildings department at the cost of Rs. 68.26 lakh.
He was accompanied by the MLA Hawal, Peer Afaq Ahmad.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Javid said that the state has a distinction for its religious tolerance and people of all faiths visit shrines irrespective of their religious affiliations. The teachings of the saints convey the message to live with communal harmony, love and brotherhood and we should follow them for the sustainable peace, he added.
The Minister said that government is committed to provide basic facilities to the people and various socio-economic schemes have been launched for their welfare. He said cooperation of people with the government for implementing these schemes is pre-requisite so that dividends are found at ground level. Peace is also imperative for the purpose, for which people should come forward for the purpose, he maintained.
The Minister also visited Lal Bazar and took strong note of dilapidated road condition from Hubbi Colony to Awanti Bhawan, asked the engineers for its repairement within week’s time.
The Chief Engineer assured that it will be repaired within stipulated time. The officers and concerned engineers accompanied the Minister.
