Jammu, January 3 (KMW): The second day of ongoing budget session of the Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly session began with noisy scenes on Wednesday with the opposition demanding discussion on adjournment motion.

“You should suspend the routine work and allow one-hour discussion on civilian killings and other issues,” said Congress MLA GM Saroori.

Senior NC leader and MLA Khanyar Ali Muhammad Sagar said government should come clear on increase in militancy and civilian killings.

“Our state should discuss killing. Police authorities claim that they have broken back of militancy and at the same time militants carry out fidayeen attack in Kashmir. Police is giving disturbing statements and misleading the government as well,” he said.

As the speaker disallowed the discussion, opposition members resorted to sloganeering, asking the government to come clear on civilian killings.
