India releases list of 50 most wanted terrorists in Pakistan

New Delhi: India has handed to Pakistan a new list of its most wanted 50 fugitive terrorists who have allegedly taken shelter in that country which includes underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and an estimated 20 accomplices.
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Haafiz Saeed tops the list, whichofficials said was handed to Pakistani Interior Secretary Qamar Zaman Choudhary during his talks with Home Secretary G K Pillai in Delhi March 28.The list also includes the names of some of the Babbar Khalsa activists.It also includes LeT leaders who were the handlers of the 10Pakistani terrorists who put to death 166 people in Mumbai duringthe November 2008 terror attack. They are — Sajid Mir, Abu Qahfa, Mazhar Iqbal and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.The list also includes suspected army officials like Major Iqbaland Major Sameer Ali, who were allegedly involved in the 2008 attack.Rehman Pasha, one of the fugitives in the list, is believed to have been the handler of the Indian Mujahideen terror group throughthe LeT’s Karachi Project.The name of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar, who was released after the 1999 hijack of an Indian Airlines aircraft to Kandahar, also reportedly figures in the list.
