Jammu, 1 Jan: The BJP in Jammu and Kashmir today met Governor NN Vohra on government formation, a day after receiving friendly signals from Mehbooba Mufti, a leader of the largest party in the state. The highlighting feature was that BJP like PDP too stated that they are not in a rush to form government in Jammu & Kashmir. “We are not in a hurry to form government in Jammu and Kashmir,” stated senior BJP leader Jugal Kishore
On the otherhand, Mehbooba Mufti had met the Governor yesterday and later dropped hints that her People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is open to an alliance with the BJP. Speaking to reporters, she invoked former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s vision and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi “has a big responsibility” towards the state.
