Islamabad, March 30: Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in the wake of the Indo-Pak ceasefire, Khan today responded with a brief but telling letter in that it specifically laid emphasis on the resolution of Kashmir issues. Earlier, Modi had written a letter to Khan on the eve of March 23 Pakistan Day. Modi had expressed his desire for cordial relations between the two countries. “For this, an environment of trust, devoid of terror and hostility, is imperative,” said the letter. Khan has reciprocated with a similar desire and assured his Indian counterpart that the people of Pakistan too desire peaceful co-operative relations with India.“We are convinced that durable peace in South Asia is contingent upon resolving all outstanding issues between India and Pakistan, in particular the Jammu and Kashmir dispute,” says the letter.
