IGP Kashmir chairs security reviews meeting in Srinagar

Srinagar, 26 February(KMW): Security needs to be fine tuned and improvised to counter all possible apprehensions, this was stated by IGP Kashmir Sh. A G Mir in a security review meeting held in Srinagar today.

A security review meeting chaired by IGP Kashmir Sh. A G Mir was today held in Srinagar in which threadbare discussions were held to synergize the security in Kashmir valley.
According to a statement issued to KMW, Speaking in the meeting IGP Kashmir Sh. A G Mir said the security measures need to be fine tuned and strategized to provide a conducive security atmosphere. He said that our focus to effectively deal with terrorism and law and order issues should be refined to avoid any trouble for general masses. IGP added that providing secure environment to the people should always be in our minds while devising our security strategies. IGP reviewed the progress on joint law and order training, law and order deployments and strategies to maintain law and order in the zone. IGP emphasis on coordination between various agencies involved in the maintenance of law and order.
IG ops CRPF Sh. Nalin Prabhat also addressed the meeting said that we should never let our guards down and discount sinister designs of the vested interests that are always lurking to create trouble in the state and we should always strive to mange any security challenge that comes across.
Among other the meeting was attended by DIG NKR Sh. Garib Das, DIG CKR Sh. G H Bhat, DIG SKR Sh. Ali Mohammad, DIG CRPF South Sh. K N Yadav, DIG CRPF North Sh. R Sekaran, SSP Srinagar Sh. Amit Kumar, SP Ganderbal Sh. Imtiaz Ismail, SSP Budgam Sh. Fayaz Ahamd, Commandants of CRPF and Zonal S’sP of Srinagar.
