Srinagar: The Hurriyat Conference (G) on Sunday, 20 February, 2011, said that Delhi police have restricted Syed Ali Shah Geelani from moving outside the boundaries of Delhi till further orders; he was scheduled to arrive in Kashmir on 21st Feb. and had been in Delhi from the past month.
In reply to the said fiat, Hurriyat (G) has called for a shutdown in Valley on Tuesday, 22 February, 2011, against the Delhi Police’s order to restrict the movement of its chairman Syed Ali Geelani.
“Our executive body met today and decided to call for a shutdown on Tuesday against the Delhi Police’s order asking Geelani not to leave Delhi.†said the spokesperson of Hurriyat(G).
