Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has confirmed the death penalty awarded to lone captured Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab for his involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The court yesterday also upheld the lower court’s order acquitting two Indian co-accused Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed, facing charges of aiding in commission of the crime. The court, while confirming death sentence to Kasab, rejected his plea praying to convert his death penalty to life sentence. On one hand where public prosecutor expressed his satisfaction to the judgement, Kasab’s counsel Farhana Shah is hopeful of appealing in the Supreme Court. (AGENCIES)
