Srinagar: February 08(KMW): Indian State Authorities put senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and Chairman People’s Political Party (PPP), Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, under house detention on the eve of death anniversaries of Mohammad Afzal Guru and Mohammad Maqbool Bhat.

According to a party press note “SHO Police station Maisuma informed the Engineer Hilal Ahmad War about his house detention on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and said that he can’t move out from his Maisuma residence.

PPP spokesperson has condemned War’s house detention and arrest of other pro-freedom leadership of Kashmir including party Chairman in strong words. “It amounts to State oppression and a denial of right to expression,” said the spokesperson.
