High alert in Kashmir ahead of PM’s visit

Srinagar, (KMW News): Taking a serious note of killing of two state police personnel by militants in broad daylight in capital city, Srinagar, yesterday, a fresh alert has been issued to all field commanders in Jammu and Kashmir, where Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi are scheduled to visit on June 25.

The authorities have issued traffic restrictions on some routes, including entire Boulvard road on the banks of the famed Dal Lake during the VVIP visit to Srinagar.
