Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have busted a hideout of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Commander, who was recently arrested from New Delhi.
A police spokesman in a statement here to said that police and troops of
62 Rashtriya Rifles unearthed a hideout of militants in forest near Jabar Tangmarg in Damhal Hanjipora area in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
The spokesman said that a Chinese Pistol, two Pistol magazines, eight Pistol rounds, a UBGL thrower, six UBGL grenades, nine AK 47 magazines, 162 AK 47 rounds and two Chinese grenades were recovered from the hideout.
“Case FIR No. 118/2010 under section 7/25 Arms Act stands registered in Police Station Damhal Hanjipora.â€
The police official said the recovered arms ammunition belongs to Hizb district Commander Abdullah Inqilabi, who was recently arrested in Delhi.
